Dr. Ji Yeon Kim has been practicing counseling for 24 years. Dr. Kim provides a wide range of services to individuals, couples, families, and parents and children in Ermington. She has extensive experience in individual and group counseling, couples counseling, couples counseling, and PCIT (Parent Child Interaction Therapy). She studied Christian Education and Social Work in college. She received her Master of Arts in Christian Counseling from Torch Trinity Graduate University and completed seven years of clinical training at Torch Trinity Counseling Center. She received her PhD from Torch Trinity Graduate University following groundbreaking research exploring the connection between spirituality and therapy in relation to transcendental counseling. She has taught M-div, He, GD, and Diploma students at Morling College, Sydney College Divinity (SCD), and Alphacrusis University College for seven years. She is also available to provide professional clinical supervision one-on-one or in groups, in person or via Skype. Kim is a full member of the Korean Counseling Psychology Association (KRCPA) and the Korean Christian Counseling Psychology Association (KACCP), and is an active ACA member through the ACA College of Supervisors. She is a licensed counselor in PCIT, has been practicing for over 15 years, and is able to provide full professional supervision as a member of the ACA College of Supervisors. She also offers Zoom/digital sessions where distance or travel impacts access to support. She is licensed to work with children through the Working with Children Check.
